The Woodsmen have a high attack value so they’re perfect for attacking other troops and cities.

The two troops are pretty impressive and serve two different functions. Two new tactical troops – Woodsmen and Lyncean Raiders.

Here are the two main changes in this update: I do hope it becomes possible to directly train some of these troops but for now I’m glad the chests and special events provide them at a rate higher than what might be possible to currently train. It’s another push to make combat deeper by giving more troop options and adding specialization units, and considering how generous the game has been of late in providing troops I’m all for this. The latest Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle Earth update gives players 2 new tactical troops but they can’t be trained and can only be won through Tauriel’s Circle of Fate, chests and special events.
